GAWA Capital participates in Spainsif's "Reinventing Impact Investing" webinar

Agustín Vitórica, GAWA Capital's co-Founder and co-CEO, participated in the sixth and final event of Spainsif's SRI Week, in the "Reinventing Impact investing" webinar, alongside Allianz Global Investors, Kutxabank Gestión SGIIC and Deusto Business School.

Agustín maintained that impact investing "is needed". "The IFC [International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group] has recently published a study that shows that impact investing currently only covers 10% of the potential demand that exists for it in the world". As a result, it is key to "mobilise these resourses" in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the Untied Nations. The sector acquires even more importance in light of the significant impact the COVID-19 pandemic will have on vulnerable communities worldwide.
