GAWA Capital leads SpainNAB’s Taskforce on mobilizing private & public capital for impact investing

Agustín Vitórica, co-Founder and co-CEO of GAWA Capital, leads the SpainNAB task force on mobilizing capital towards impact investing. As a member of SpainNAB’s executive committee, Agustín led three on-line sessions that are part of the implementation road agreed by Spain and the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing:

  • 14 April 2020 session on the role of blended finance in catalizing private capital, in which Huruma Fund was featured as the first blended finance fund launched in Spain;

  • 26 May 2020 session on the role of private banks and wealth management. Agustín had a dialogue with Jordi Casajoana from Caixabank Private Banking on the Social Value Project launched by the bank and moderated a round table between the CEOs of the leading wealth advisory firms in Spain: Eurocapital, iCapital and Portocolom;

  • 28 May 2020 session on the role of traditional asset managers in the road to the impact economy in which Agustin moderated a round table about impact investing funds launched by value investing firms, including a presentation on Magallanes Impacto, the fund launched by Magallanes Value Investors in collaboration with GAWA Capital.

The audience of the sessions exceeded 200 attendees, including executives from the main asset managers and private banks in Spain and officers from public institutions including COFIDES, AECID, ENISA and ICO.
